Have you ever had one of those days when someone makes you soooooooooooooo mad, you seriously consider committing a felony? Fortunately, you don’t act on your anger because revenge is never good; plus, not everyone looks good in orange. But, if you’re a writer, you get to play out your revenge through characters.

Which is exactly what I did.

While watching wrestling one night,  I started wondering what would happen if I really were a wrestler and could pulverize people in a ring. Better still, I imagined myself as the world’s most famous wrestler whose very name would cause fear in the hearts of those who had to face her in the ring, and Penny Marie Sword, Ms. PMS, was born.

And, Penny Marie Sword is angry. Why? Well, besides the fact that Penny has anger management issues, after she meets and marries the love of her life, Jamar Sword, he is killed in a freak accident.  To make matters worse, Jamar was an up and coming professional wrestler who had just gotten the call that fulfilled his dream of wrestling in the “big leagues," when he died.

So, doing what any almost rational person with anger management issues would do, Penny decides to quit her job as a schoolteacher,( a job she loathes by the way), and take up wrestling to fulfill Jamar’s dream.  Creating Ms. PMS, a maniacal persona who only wrestles every 28 days, changes “moods” with each match, and who stomps on bottles of Midol in the ring, Penny channels all of her hurt and anger into her character,

With the help of "Pocahotness" and "The Common Suture," two female wrestlers who are fighting demons of their own, Penny's  zany friends, family, and a few foes, help, and sometimes hinder her while she wrestles her way through all of life’s challenges. Sure, Penny gets knocked down at times, but she always gets back up because, after all, Penny is Ms. PMS, and....nothing cramps her style.
